Erbil, Kurdistan Region, Iraq (cabinet.gov.krd) – Prime Minister Nechirvan Barzani received the head of the Fatih Alliance Mr. Hadi al-Amiri in Erbil.

They stressed the importance of a healthy political process that responds to the hopes and aspirations of all Iraqi communities and enables them to participate in the country’s political process and management.

They also stressed that an effective political process depends on stability through consensus, balance, and partnership.

Mr. al-Amiri stressed the importance of effective participation of the Kurdistan Region in the political process in Iraq, and in resolving issues between Erbil and Baghdad. He also considered this participation as a main basis for the success of the political process.

The formation of the new Iraqi government was also discussed. They affirmed their support for Mr. Adil Abdul Mahdi in forming the new Iraqi government.
