Business & Employment

The Kurdistan Region is now among the best and most vibrant emerging markets in the world, thanks largely to the efforts of workers and business owners in the private sector. For its part, the KRG has actively promoted foreign and domestic investment, a diverse economy with potential in a variety of fields, and legislation that allows young industries and companies to thrive.

As in many other countries, private businesses offer citizens new and improved goods and services and constitute the engine of the economy. At the same time, the KRG is fully cognizant of the importance of domestic participation in Kurdistan’s economic boom – particularly for young citizens and recent high school and college graduates. It is important that economic growth benefits all citizens, and that job and business opportunities are made available in a fair and transparent manner.

Please find below some of the government’s recent activities concerning business and employment, as well as links to the relevant ministries and other useful pages.
