Erbil, Kurdistan Region, Iraq (GOV.KRD) - We are now treating the shooting incident in Erbil on Wednesday 17 July 2019, which killed three people, as a premeditated terrorist attack. Our investigation is ongoing and we will provide regular updates concerning its progress.

The Kurdistan Regional Government condemns in the strongest possible terms today’s shooting incident at a restaurant in Erbil, which resulted in the deaths of two people, including a Turkish diplomat, and the injury of one other person.
PM Barzani leads high-level KRG delegation to Baghdad; meetings held with Iraq’s senior leadership

Erbil, Kurdistan Region, Iraq (GOV.KRD, 10 July 2019) - The Kurdistan Parliament has confirmed Mr Masrour Barzani's appointment as Prime Minister of the Kurdistan Regional Government (KRG), together with the ministerial cabinet.
Following his inauguration, Prime Minister Barzani vowed to make Kurdistan stronger, improve ties with Baghdad and diversify the region's economy.

PM Speech to Kurdistan Parliament on new KRG Cabinet
I’m very pleased that my colleagues and I were swore in today, after winning the trust and confidence of this parliament.
Thanks to the sacrifices of our people and the bravery of our Peshmerga heroes, we have been able to form this new cabinet of the Kurdistan Regional Government (KRG). The cabinet's formulation is additional evidence of Kurdistan’s strong commitment to democracy and the peaceful transfer of power to this region.
This agenda has been developed in accordance with the political agreements between all parties which compose the new cabinet of the KRG.
And it includes the principles and policies of all parties in the government. The implementation of this program is the responsibility of all parties in the government.
