Kurdistan Regional Government Delegation meets with Nuri Al-Maliki

Erbil, Kurdistan Region, Iraq (GOV.KRD) – The Kurdistan Regional Government’s high-level delegation leading negotiations with Baghdad, headed by Deputy Prime Minister Qubad Talabani, today met with head of the State of Law Coalition, Nuri al-Maliki, to discuss the latest developments regarding the 2021 federal budget.

In the meeting, Nuri Al-Maliki expressed his support for the Kurdistan Regional Government’s efforts to reach an agreement and recognised the delegation’s work in the negotiation process.

Both sides agreed on the need to resolve budget disputes to protect the interests of all Iraqis and clear the way for other pressing issues in the country, notably the threat of terrorism, the resurgence of ISIS, and other unresolved matters.
