PM Masrour Barzani meets new Spanish Ambassador to Iraq

Erbil, Kurdistan Region, Iraq (GOV.KRD) - Prime Minister Masrour Barzani on Thursday met with Pedro Martinez, the new Spanish ambassador to Iraq.

PM Barzani congratulated him on assuming office and wished the ambassador luck as well as promoting relations between Spain, Iraq, and the Kurdistan Region.

The ambassador expressed his country’s wish to boost ties with the Kurdistan Region, especially in the area of trade and investment.

The ambassador also added that Spain plans to open a consulate in Erbil.
