PM Masrour Barzani receives leading PUK delegation

Erbil, Kurdistan Region, Iraq (GOV.KRD) - Prime Minister Masrour Barzani on Saturday met with a delegation from the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan (PUK) led by party head Bafel Talabani.

In the meeting, also attended by Deputy Prime Minister Qubad Talabani and Kurdistan Democratic Party (KDP) spokesperson Mahmood Mohammed, both sides stressed the importance of supporting the Kurdistan Regional Government (KRG) in implementing its reform program in an attempt to better serve the people of the Region. Both sides further discussed resolving outstanding issues.

Prime Minister Barzani noted that the KRG's reform program is one of all the parties of the government, further commenting that cooperation and mutual support across all Kurdish parties to implement the program and serve people across the Kurdistan Region is crucial.

The PUK delegation stressed their support of the KRG in the succesful implementation of its reform program and in defending the rights and belongings of the people of Kurdistan Region.
