The KRG Office of the Coordinator for International Advocacy (OCIA) had an introductory workshop with the UK Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office (FCDO)'s Department of Human Rights and Rule of Law and the British Consulate General in Erbil. Mr. David Hunt, the British Consul General welcomed OCIA in Rotana Hotel. Ian Duddy, the Deputy Director in the Open Societies and Human Rights Directorate, and Alice Wyss Human Rights Advisor to the Head of the FCDO’s Human Rights Department were visually present through a Zoom meeting. This meeting is a stepping stone for entering a practical sphere of molding concrete improvements in the fields of human rights and rule of law. The United Kingdom and KRG have a rich history of partnership. This time UK spearheads several workshops that target some integral sections from the Regional Plan for Human Rights.
