Erbil, Kurdistan Region, Iraq (cabinet.gov.krd) - Prime Minister Nechirvan Barzani on Monday, accompanied by Deputy Prime Minister Qubad Talabani and senior officials, visited the headquarters of the Kurdistan Islamic Union (KIU) and met with its Secretary General Mr. Salahaddin Muhammed Baha’addin.

The latest political developments in the Kurdistan Region and Iraq were discussed, including relations between Baghdad and the Kurdistan Region as well as the Prime Minister’s recent communications with world leaders.

The importance of unity among all political parties in the Kurdistan Region was stressed in the meeting, along with efforts to improve the economic situation of people and holding general elections at its specified time.
