Erbil, Kurdistan Region, Iraq (cabinet.gov.krd) – Prime Minister Nechirvan Barzani received British Ambassador to Iraq, Mr. Jon Wilks, British Consul General to the Kurdistan Region, Mr. Martyn Warr, and their accompanying delegation.

They discussed the situation in the Kurdistan Region, the upcoming parliamentary election and the post-electoral process in Iraq as well as the formation of the new government in Baghdad.

They hoped that the Kurdish parties will play an effective role in the formation of the new government, that can resolve the challenges facing the country.

They also discussed the progress made in the talks between the Kurdistan Region and the Iraqi federal government, which resulted in solving a number of issues. They hoped that broader talks after the formation of the new Iraqi government, will lead to settle all outstanding issues.
