Erbil, Kurdistan Region, Iraq (cabinet.gov.krd) - Prime Minister Nechirvan Barzani received British Ambassador to Iraq Jon Wilks, Lord Francis Maude, and British Consul General to the Kurdistan Region, Martin Warr.

Ambassador Wilks discussed the latest political and security developments in the region and relations between the Kurdistan Region and Baghdad. He commended the reforms initiated by the Kurdistan Regional Government and reaffirmed support of the British Government to the Kurdistan Region.

Prime Minister Barzani thanked the British government for its support to the Kurdistan Region. He briefed the delegation on KRG’s institutional reforms and stressed their continuation.

Latest political developments in the wider region were also discussed in the meeting.
