PM Masrour Barzani meets with Philippine Ambassador to Iraq

Erbil, Kurdistan Region, Iraq (GOV.KRD) – Prime Minister Masrour Barzani on Tuesday met with the Philippines’ Ambassador to Iraq, Generoso D. G. Calogne, to discuss bilateral ties and the ongoing threat of ISIS.

Prime Minister Barzani stressed the importance of preventing terrorism from expanding, and both sides discussed methods to prevent its reemergence in the region.

The ambassador commended Peshmerga forces in their fight against ISIS, and expressed his country’s desire to benefit from the Kurdistan Region’s successful experience in combatting extremism.
