KRG delegation meets with Iraq finance minister in Baghdad

Erbil, Kurdistan Region (GOV.KRD) - The Kurdistan Regional Government (KRG) delegation today met with Iraq’s Finance Minister, Taif Sami, in Baghdad.

The meeting discussed the fixture of the Kurdistan Region’s share from Iraq’s 2023 budget bill, with both sides emphasizing the continuation in the work of the committees formed between the two on the issue.

Since the formation of the new Iraqi government, this is the second time a KRG delegation travels to Baghdad to discuss the pending issues between the Kurdish and Iraqi federal governments, including Article 140 and the Kurdistan Region’s budget share.

The KRG delegation consists of KRG Spokesperson Jotiar Adil, the President of the Diwan of Council of Ministers, Omed Sabah, and other ministers and officials.
