KRG delegation meets with Iraqi president

Erbil, Kurdistan Region (GOV.KRD) - The Kurdistan Regional Government’s (KRG) delegation visiting Baghdad today met with Iraqi President Abdul Latif Rashid.

The meeting discussed the negotiations that took place in Baghdad over the past days aimed at reaching an agreement between the KRG and the Iraqi federal government regarding the Kurdistan Region’s fixed share of the 2023 budget bill and other pending issues.

President Rashid stressed adhering to the constitution as the basis for reaching an agreement that is in the interest of the Iraqi people and the Kurdistan Region.

The delegation thanked the President for his continued support and efforts towards a settlement between the KRG and the federal government to resolve all outstanding issues between Erbil and Baghdad.
