Peshmerga ministry and coalition forces continue to develop joint cooperation

Erbil, Kurdistan Region (GOV.KRD) - The Ministry of Peshmerga Affairs and the coalition forces held meetings and carried out activities to strengthen relations between the two and boost cooperation.

The Peshmerga ministry carried out an education check for the infantry brigades and the Peshmerga forces with the aim of improving their capability and performance. It also provided a training course on the use of newly-received weapons and explosives.

The Peshmerga affairs ministry also met with the Hungarian military team and the head of military affairs at the Hungarian consulate to discuss future plans of Hungarian military advisers in the international coalition to work with the Peshmerga forces. Both sides emphasized the continuous cooperation between the two.

The Ministry also met with a delegation of Italian forces and a commander of the forces. “The work of Italian consultants in the field of training and counseling Peshmerga forces will begin,” the delegation announced.

A joint meeting to discuss the law of armed conflict was also held between the Peshmerga ministry and Red Cross.
