Over 600 projects implemented in Duhok since 2020
Erbil, Kurdistan Region (GOV.KRD) - The Kurdistan Regional Government’s (KRG) efforts to build projects in Duhok and across areas vulnerable to conflict continues, with over 600 of these initiatives being implemented in the past three years in the province.
A total of 655 projects, including schools, hospitals, roads, electricity power plants and water management projects were launched in Duhok between 2020 and this year.
In September, Prime Minister Masrour Barzani set the foundation stone for numerous ideas, including the construction of highways and the renovation of Zakho’s old bazaar, budgeted at over 26 billion Iraqi dinars in the Zakho autonomous administration.
Forty-nine new projects out of 51 - set its foundation stone by Prime Minister Barzani in his recent visit to the province - are currently benefiting the population of Zakho. One hundred and four projects have also been completed in Amedi while work on the Deraluk hospital is underway.
The KRG plans to put into motion several other projects in Zakho and the towns in the area as well as across the Region.
