Second Kurdistan Education Forum Held in Erbil

With the theme “Better Education… Better Opportunities”, the Second Kurdistan Educational Forum 2024 convened in Erbil for education experts.

Saman Siwayli, spokesperson for the Ministry of Education explained that the forum unites together international, regional, and local experts to develop an educational vision that aligns with the Ministry’s vision.

The forum explored a variety of topics, including education and inclusiveness, vocational training, student support and teacher development, alongside the presentation of various research papers.

A significant focus of the forum was the state of Kurdish education in the Kurdistani Areas Outside the Region (Disputed Territories).

Despite the financial crisis, the ninth cabinet of the KRG has managed to construct 140 new schools and renovate 1,700 existing ones.
