Al-Nahrain Foundation for Supporting Transparency and Integrity Honours the Department of Media and Information

On Thursday, 16 May 2024, the Al-Nahrain Foundation for Supporting Transparency and Integrity (NFTI) visited the Department of Media and Information (DMI) to honour Dr. Jotiar Adil, Head of the DMI, for his efforts in enhancing transparency by disseminating data and information in accordance with international standards.

Mohammed Raheem Al-Rubie, Head of NFTI, emphasised that the purpose of the visit was to recognise the DMI's adherence to international standards in information dissemination, which align with efforts to enhance integrity in Iraq.

He also praised the DMI's proactive efforts in sharing information with local and international organisations, noting that these efforts contrast with other institutions in Iraq. This proactive approach facilitates the foundation's goal of strengthening cooperation with the DMI in the future.

The Kurdistan Regional Government’s DMI plays a pivotal role in distributing data and information related to the government and its institutions, aiming to foster transparency, integrity, and enhance good governance practices.
