Kurdistan Region Launches Digital Platform for Hajj Registration

On Sunday, 10 August 2025, the Kurdistan Region launched a digital Hajj registry, allowing citizens to apply online.

The system improves efficiency, ensures fair and organised access, and limits each person to a single application.

It serves not only Hajj pilgrims but also doctors, imams, relatives of martyrs, and companies organising Umrah trips.

Applicants receive stage-by-stage notifications, enabling them to track their applications in real time.

This year, the platform is expected to process 150,000 applications.

The Kurdistan Regional Government considers this a major milestone in advancing digital transformation across the region.
