New Bridge to Link Halabja and Garmian, Easing Traffic and Boosting Tourism

The Tangi Sayed Mohammed Bridge, spanning 650 metres, will be built in Halabja Governorate. It will stand 4 metres above the river and measure 14 metres in width.

With a budget of IQD 26 billion, the project will link Halabja Governorate to the Garmian district, bringing the Pshta border crossing road closer and significantly easing traffic.

In addition to boosting tourism, the bridge will enhance the area’s appearance and benefit more than 20 surrounding villages.

The Kurdistan Regional Government remains committed to rebuilding the region, viewing it as its duty to serve the people of Kurdistan.
