A $43 Million Public Hospital Built in Amedi District

The Kurdistan Regional Government (KRG) has completed the construction of Hetit Public Hospital in Deraluk, Amedi district, Duhok governorate. The $43 million facility, established under the Ninth Cabinet, is set to provide essential healthcare services to over 250,000 residents in the region.
Spanning 250,000 square metres, the state-of-the-art hospital is equipped with cutting-edge medical technology and staffed by highly trained professionals. The facility includes 100 beds and offers a comprehensive range of medical services, including: emergency and primary care; six major and minor operating rooms; dialysis, mammography and ultrasound units; a fully equipped laboratory; obstetrics and neonatal care; intensive care and specialised treatment; microscopy, laparoscopy and natural treatment services; and a dedicated pharmacy.
Officials have confirmed that the hospital will soon be operational, significantly improving healthcare accessibility and quality for Amedi and the surrounding areas.
