Major Progress on Ba’adre–Duhok Highway Project

Construction is progressing rapidly on the Ba’adre–Duhok highway project. The 26-kilometre road is being built to modern standards by local labour.

Over 600 pieces of machinery and 1,500 workers are engaged around the clock.

Less than a year since its commencement, the project has already reached 70% completion.

Once finalised, this strategic route will complete the Erbil–Zakho corridor as a fully dual carriageway, significantly enhancing connectivity across the region.

Despite ongoing challenges, the Kurdistan Regional Government remains steadfast in its efforts to deliver essential services and advance development across all areas of the Kurdistan Region.
