KRG Ministry of Culture Calls on Media to Prioritise Public Mental Health and Social Stability in Reporting

In light of the current complex regional circumstances, the Kurdistan Regional Government’s (KRG) Ministry of Culture and Youth has urged media institutions and the public to give due consideration to psychological well-being and social stability.

In its statement, the ministry called on media outlets, broadcasters, and citizens to refrain from disseminating unsourced or inaccurate information about developments in the region and their potential consequences. It also stressed that all news related to Kurdistan’s security and related events should be obtained only from official sources.

The ministry further stated that any party found in violation of these directives would be subject to legal prosecution.
