Pomegranates and Culture Shine at Halabja’s Annual Autumn Festival

The annual Halabja Pomegranate and Autumn Festival brought together hundreds of farmers from Halabja and nearby districts to showcase and sell pomegranates and a variety of seasonal local products.

Over the three-day event, total sales amounted to approximately IQD 1.7 billion, including:

- Agricultural products: IQD 700 million
- Food products: IQD 800 million
- Handicrafts: IQD 200 million

The festival welcomed around 419,700 visitors, arriving in 804 buses and 54 organized tour groups.

The event has contributed to increased local employment and continues to support tourism and economic activity in the region.
