New KRG Report Highlights Progress and Ongoing Reforms under the Ninth Cabinet

The Kurdistan Regional Government (KRG) Department of Media and Information has released the second edition of “Ninth Cabinet: Statistical Report on Projects and Achievements”. The publication aims to provide the public with clear and accessible information on the government’s recent initiatives and reforms.

The updated report outlines progress across key sectors, including water and food security, industry, transport, electricity, education, health, digital transformation, investment, and governance. It presents current data and practical outcomes of projects implemented under the Ninth Cabinet.

Infrastructure remains a central focus. New road and bridge projects are under way, alongside efforts to strengthen water and food security through the construction of dams, ponds, and grain silos.

The Cabinet has also pursued administrative and financial reforms, restructured the Peshmerga forces, and established a Civil Service Council to enhance transparency and efficiency in public administration.

Digital transformation continues to shape the government’s agenda. Initiatives such as “My Account” (Hazhmary Mn) are expanding access to electronic services, while the newly established National Bank, with a capital of IQD 250 billion, is designed to support the transition to a modern digital economy.

The Runaki (“Light”) project has introduced 24-hour electricity supply to several areas — an important step towards reliable power for households and businesses in the Region.

Over the past five years, total investment has reached $24 billion across 596 projects, reflecting continued interest from both domestic and international investors.

The full digital version of the report is available on the official KRG website (Gov.krd), allowing citizens, journalists, and researchers to explore up-to-date information on government programmes and services.
