New Sheikhan–Lalish Road Set to Open for Public Use

The Kurdistan Regional Government (KRG) has completed the Sheikhan–Lalish road project in Duhok Governorate, which will soon be opened for public use.

The new road extends 9 kilometres in length and 25 metres in width, with a total investment exceeding 26 billion Iraqi dinars.

Constructed to modern engineering standards, the project was carried out using local expertise and is fully equipped with international-standard markings and safety measures.

This initiative reflects the KRG’s continued commitment to advancing development across all parts of the Kurdistan Region, enhancing public services, and strengthening the economic infrastructure.
