e-Psûle Platform Introduced to Modernise Government Payments

On Tuesday, 10 February 2026, in the presence of Masrour Barzani, Prime Minister of the Kurdistan Regional Government (KRG), the launch of the e-Psûle platform was officially announced as a unified national system for issuing government receipts digitally.

The e-Psûle platform is officially approved by the Central Bank of Iraq (CBI), marking a major milestone in the KRG’s digital transformation agenda and
bringing an end to decades of manual, cash-based, and paper-based processes.

The platform enables citizens across all governorates of the Kurdistan Region to access government receipts digitally, beginning with electricity bills, at any time (24/7) and from any location, without the need to visit government offices or wait in queues.

The service is provided free of charge. Citizens incur no additional fees or commissions when making payments through the e-Psûle application or via authorised partners.

Key features of the e-Psûle platform include:

- Citizen control: No deductions can be made from salaries or bank accounts without the explicit consent of citizens. All payment decisions remain fully in the hands of users.

- Full transparency: Receipt details are clearly displayed, with a breakdown separating outstanding balances from current charges, ensuring complete clarity on payments.

- Multiple payment channels: Payments can be made directly through the e-Psûle application or via approved e-wallets such as FastPay, AsiaPay, and NassWallet, as well as participating banks including FIB, Cihan Bank.

This initiative reaffirms the KRG’s commitment to delivering modern, secure, and citizen-centred services, strengthening financial transparency, and making everyday transactions simpler and more efficient.
