Deputy Prime Minister chairs Dokan Tourism Project

Erbil, Kurdistan Region, Iraq (GOV.KRD) - Deputy Prime Minister Qubad Talabani on Sunday chaired a meeting on Dokan Resort Project's high-level committee.

During the meeting, they spoke about the legal and executive procedures necessary to start this strategic tourism project in Slemani.

The Deputy Prime Minister noted that the project will create local jobs, boost trade and economy, and reduce dependence on oil and gas revenues.

He reiterated the government's commitment to facilitate work the project. In that regard, a joint committee will be created with Faruq Group.

Both sides also agreed on the importance of compensation to those affected by the project.
