Kurdistan Regional Government High-level Delegation meets with the Iraqi Oil and Finance Ministers

Erbil, Kurdistan Region, Iraq (GOV.KRD) – A Kurdistan Regional Government high-level delegation led by Deputy Prime Minister Qubad Talabani met with the federal ministers of Oil and Finance in Baghdad this evening.

The delegation traveled to Baghdad today to resume dialogue with the Federal Government in attempts to reach an agreement on growing budgetary issues. The delegation will hold several meetings with the Iraqi government officials on a number of outstanding issues.

Deputy Prime Minister Talabani reiterated the Kurdistan Regional Government’s commitment to upholding the Kurdistan Region’s obligations under the Iraqi Fiscal Aid Compliance Act, as long as the Federal Government provides it with the necessary financial resources.

The delegation will conduct another round of meetings with Iraqi government officials tomorrow.
