Deputy Prime Minister Qubad Talabani chairs meeting on support to private sector and business innovation

Erbil, Kurdistan Region, Iraq (GOV.KRD) – Deputy Prime Minister Qubad Talabani today presided over a meeting to discuss ways to modernise and facilitate the registration process for businesses operating in the Kurdistan Region as part of the Kurdistan Regional Government’s ongoing efforts to bolster the private sector.

Joined by the Minister of Trade and Industry and the Head of the Information Technology Department, Deputy Prime Minister Talabani reiterated the government’s commitment to the implementation of its reform agenda, aiming to reduce bureaucratic hurdles for businesses and develop the private sector to create more job opportunities.

Deputy Prime Minister Talabani also studied the issue of trademarks and foreign registrations, emphasizing that the Kurdistan Regional Government will continue to serve the best interests of its citizens while filling gaps in the Kurdistan economy with the support of the private sector.
