Deputy Prime Minister Qubad Talabani urges public compliance as pandemic worsens

Erbil, Kurdistan Region, Iraq (GOV.KRD) - As part of the Kurdistan Regional Government’s efforts to raise public health awareness, Deputy Prime Minister Qubad Talabani today called for greater cooperation between the government, the business community, and the public to meet the challenges posed by the coronavirus pandemic.

Speaking at an event for breast cancer awareness, Deputy Prime Minister Talabani expressed gratitude for the tireless efforts and hard work of healthcare professionals in the Kurdistan Region during this global pandemic.

Urging the public to adhere to official health guidelines, he also reaffirmed the government’s commitment to supporting the health sector, including supplying essential medical equipment to Hiwa Hospital, one of the Kurdistan Region’s foremost cancer facility.

The event was organised by Deputy Prime Minister Talabani’s Office for Gender and the Sulaimani Health Department.
