Qubad Talabani Congratulates Christians on Easter

Erbil, Kurdistan Region, Iraq (GOV.KRD) - Deputy Prime Minister Qubad Talabani today issued the following statement:

“As we mark the occasion of Easter, I send my warmest wishes to the Christian brothers and sisters of the Kurdistan Region, Iraq, and the world as they observe the Resurrection of Christ.

“We welcome this opportunity to reaffirm the message of peace, unity and brotherhood among all religions in Kurdistan, and our desire for the Kurdistan Region to always remain a shining example of pluralism in the region.

“I hope that this day will be a day of rest and peace for our Christian brothers and sisters, and may they be able to celebrate Easter safely during this pandemic.”
