Deputy Prime Minister Qubad Talabani meets with Armenian Ambassador to Iraq

Erbil, Kurdistan Region, Iraq (GOV.KRD) – Deputy Prime Minister Qubad Talabani today welcomed a farewell visit from the Armenian Ambassador to Iraq, Hrachya Poladian, as his term in the country comes to an end.

Deputy Prime Minister Talabani stated he was pleased that efforts to strengthen a cultural and scientific exchange between the Kurdistan Region and Armenia had intensified, especially in the field of Information Technology (IT), during Ambassador Poladian’s tenure.

Both expressed hope that progress toward improving bilateral relations between the two nations will continue and that the Kurdistan Regional Government’s anti-corruption and reform efforts will contribute to greater interest from investors from Armenia and companies from that country.

The Deputy Prime Minister thanked the Armenian Ambassador for his dedicated work and excellent cooperation in improving relations between Yerevan and Erbil, and wished him success in his new role.
