Deputy Prime Minister Qubad Talabani meets with Muhammad Al-Halbousi on 2021 budget bill

Baghdad, Iraq (GOV.KRD) – The Kurdistan Regional Government high-level delegation leading negotiations with Baghdad, headed by Deputy Prime Minister Qubad Talabani, met with the Speaker of the Iraqi Council of Representatives, Mohammed Al-Halbousi, to discuss the 2021 draft budget bill and progress between Erbil and Baghdad toward a resolution.

During the meeting, the two sides agreed that the 2021 budget bill should reflect the interests of all Iraqis before being approved.

Both sides explored different ways to strengthen dialogue between Erbil and Baghdad, stressing the need to continue with negotiations until all outstanding issues are resolved.
