Deputy Prime Minister Qubad Talabani launched KRG service portal

Erbil, Kurdistan Region, Iraq (GOV.KRD) – Deputy Prime Minister Qubad Talabani today chaired a cabinet meeting to discuss the latest efforts to reduce bureaucratic obstacles and streamline the delivery of public services in the Kurdistan Region.

During the meeting, Deputy Prime Minister Talabani called on all the Ministries to begin implementing recommendations by the project team to digitalize their operations and make the government more efficient while facilitating the delivery of public services to the people of the Kurdistan Region.

The digitalization and effective government project was sanctioned by the Council of Ministers on August 28, 2019, as a part of the Government’s ambitious reform plan. Since then, the Deputy Prime Minister stated, significant progress has been made to eliminate onerous government rules and procedures, as well as increase transparency and efficiency within ministries.

As part of the project, citizens of the Kurdistan Region can now access the services.gov.krd website for information on government services, forms, and other relevant information.
