High-Level KRG delegation meets with the Sadrist Movement

Erbil, Kurdistan Region, Iraq (GOV.KRD) - The Kurdistan Regional Government’s high-level delegation, headed by Deputy Prime Minister Qubad Talabani, today met with the Head of the Sadrist Movement’s political body, Dr. Nassar Rubaye in Baghdad to discuss bilateral relations.

The Deputy Prime Minister thanked the Sadrist Movement for supporting the Kurdistan Region during the drafting of the 2021 federal budget bill. The Deputy Prime Minister noted that the Kurdistan Regional Government and the Federal Government of Iraq share each other’s challenges and successes, highlighting the need to resolve outstanding issues.

Dr. Nassar Rubaye acknowledged the Kurdistan Regional Government efforts to unite all parties through a sustained and constructive political dialogue. He also stated that the budget will be drafted to ensure a path to a peaceful resolution of ongoing disputes and a closer working relationship going forward.
