KRG introduces new private sector regulations

Erbil, Kurdistan Region, Iraq (GOV.KRD) - Deputy Prime Minister Qubad Talabani today held a virtual meeting with various departments and government officials to discuss the Kurdistan Regional Government’s new registration process for businesses.

The Deputy Prime Minister outlined the new steps for companies to register with the government and discussed other recommendations the Kurdistan Regional Government is studying to support and develop the region’s private sector.

He noted the updated registration process will serve and strengthen the private sector and simplify the way they conduct business with government institutions.

The Deputy Prime Minister also highlighted the importance of the private sector, which will help unlock the Kurdistan Region’s economic potential.

The Deputy Prime Minister reaffirmed the Kurdistan Regional Government’s commitment to developing online services to modernise business in the Kurdistan Region and underscored that laws that create obstacles for the private sector will soon be amended and updated by relevant departments.
