Deputy PM Talabani meets with US- Kurdistan Region trade delegation

Erbil, Kurdistan Region, Iraq (GOV.KRD) – Deputy Prime Minister Qubad Talabani on Tuesday met with a delegation from the US-Kurdistan Region Trade Council along with representatives from several US companies.

Joined by the Deputy Head of the Department of Foreign Relations (DFR) and the KRG representative to the US, Deputy Prime Minister Talabani highlighted the numerous investment opportunities in the region and the positive role American companies can play in the Kurdistan Region.

The Deputy Prime Minister recognized the contribution of American investments in helping the Kurdistan Region’s economy grow, especially in the fields of agriculture, energy, and technology.

He noted the KRG welcomes further investments and will continue to facilitate that process by reducing bureaucratic hurdles as part of the government’s plans to modernize and diversify the economy.
