DPM Qubad Talabani meets with French Ambassador to Iraq

Erbil, Kurdistan Region (GOV.KRD) - Deputy Prime Minister Qubad Talabani today met with the French Ambassador to Iraq, Éric Chevalier to discuss the latest developments in Iraq and the bilateral relations between the Kurdistan Region and France.

Both sides agreed that political instability in Iraq must be addressed and that the formation of government requires the meaningful participation of all parties.

Deputy Prime Minister Talabani stressed the importance of a unified Kurdish front in Baghdad remains necessary to ensure the protection of the Kurdistan Region’s constitutional rights and its people.

The Deputy Prime Minister and Ambassador Chevalier also discussed the recent attacks on the Kurdistan Region, and agreed on the importance of maintaining the security of the region.
