• Head of the Oil Committee for Sulaimaniyah Province and oversaw revenue growth from zero to 5-6 million Iraqi Dinars. It was appreciated by the Ministry of Council.
• Served 2 terms as Mayor of central district of Sulaimaniyah Province (1st term in 1993, 2nd term 1995).
