Prime Minister Masrour Barzani's message for the New Year

I wish the peoples of the Kurdistan Region, Iraq and the world a very happy New Year.

As we enter 2020, let us reflect upon how far the Kurdistan Region has come alongside the progress and sacrifices we have made. Let us acknowledge all that we have achieved, overcoming the uncertainty of war, injustice and instability while remaining united.

The New Year will offer opportunities as well as challenges for the Kurdistan Region. Our government remains committed to peace and prosperity for all.

In my 100-day speech, I outlined the progress that this government has made to build a stronger Kurdistan. In 2020 we will build on these foundations. With the support of the people and all parties of the Kurdistan Region, I believe we will succeed in ushering in a new era of progress, economic growth and security.
