Prime Minister Masrour Barzani marks the UN International Day for Tolerance by hosting representatives of the Kurdistan Region’s religious communities
Erbil, Kurdistan Region, Iraq (GOV.KRD) – To mark the United Nations International Day for Tolerance, Prime Minister Masrour Barzani today hosted a delegation of representatives from the Kurdistan Region’s religious communities.
Welcoming the delegation, which included representatives of the Muslim, Christian, Yazidi, Kaka'i, Zoroastrian, Mandaean and Baha'i communities, Prime Minister Barzani praised their role in preserving the Kurdistan Region’s rich and vibrant history.
Prime Minister Barzani affirmed his strong belief that the Kurdistan Region will remain a land of peace and tolerance, which celebrates its diversity as a strength and a source of pride.
Prime Minister Barzani emphasised to the representatives that everyone has a role in promoting a culture of coexistence, respect, and appreciation for the various ethnic and religious groups in the Kurdistan Region.
Looking ahead, the Prime Minister asserted that the Kurdistan Regional Government will need and value the contribution of all the Kurdistani peoples as they build a stronger Kurdistan.
