Prime Minister Masrour Barzani receives French Ambassador to Iraq

Erbil, Kurdistan Region, Iraq (GOV.KRD) - Prime Minister Masrour Barzani today received the Ambassador of France to Iraq, Bruno Aubert.

Prime Minister Barzani and Ambassador Aubert discussed the latest developments in Iraq and Syria, particularly related to security concerns. Both agreed that instability in the region remains one of the greatest threats to reconstruction and recovery efforts underway in Iraq and Syria. The populations of both countries have already been greatly affected by years of conflict and may face yet another wave of displacement, internally and across borders.

The two officials also discussed ways to strengthen bilateral ties and leverage their relationship during these uncertain times.
