Prime Minister Masrour Barzani Receives the President of Iraq

Erbil, Kurdistan Region, Iraq (GOV.KRD) – Prime Minister Masrour Barzani today received Iraqi President Barham Salih and Finance Minister Fuad Hussein.

The leaders acknowledged that improved relations between Erbil and Baghdad have facilitated constructive dialogue and a path to a stable relationship that recognises the rights of the Kurdistan Region under the constitution.

Prime Minister Barzani and President Salih agreed that strengthening ties between the Kurdistan Regional Government and the federal government of Iraq is of shared interest.

Both sides recognized that mutual respect and improved coordination will help stabilize the country and preserve the security of its people against both internal and external threats.
