Prime Minister Barzani chairs high-level committee on reform, calls on ministers to start implementing reform package

Erbil, Kurdistan Region, Iraq (GOV.KRD) – Prime Minister Masrour Barzani today chaired via video conference the first high-level committee on reform, tasked with overseeing the implementation of the Reform Law (2020).

Deputy Prime Minister Qubad Talabani and other ministers also attended the meeting.

Prime Minister Barzani reiterated that the cabinet will introduce reforms encompassing all sectors and areas of life in the Kurdistan Region.

He stressed that the main objective is to bring fairness and certainty to the public sector, protecting employees' rights and privileges.

The committee approved reports from ministers about the best ways of implementing the planned reforms.

Prime Minister Barzani subsequently instructed government ministries to take action as quickly as possible.
