Prime Minister Masrour Barzani meets US Secretary of Energy at the Munich Security Conference

Munich, Germany (GOV.KRD) - Prime Minister Masrour Barzani met the US Secretary of Energy Dan Brouillette today on the sidelines of the Munich Security Conference.

They discussed ways of further strengthening bilateral relations between the Kurdistan Region and the US, particularly in the energy sector. They also spoke of the importance of US investment in the Kurdistan Region and the need to increase trade.

Secretary Brouillette described the Kurdistan Region's economic development as 'a miracle' and praised Prime Minister Barzani's leadership.

Prime Minister Barzani thanked the US for its support of the Kurdistan Region and expressed a desire to increase cooperation.
