Prime Minister Masrour Barzani chairs meeting on Peshmerga reforms

Erbil, Kurdistan Region, Iraq (GOV.KRD) - Prime Minister Masrour Barzani chaired a videoconference meeting on Sunday to review the reform process in the Ministry of Peshmerga Affairs.

During the meeting, the Prime Minister recognised the Peshmerga forces for their heroism in the war against ISIS and service to the Kurdistan Region.

The Minister of Peshmerga Affairs reported on ongoing reforms, highlighting the needs to successfully complete the process.

Following an exchange of views, it was agreed to set a timeline to organise and implement the reforms in accordance with the Reform Law and efforts with the Global Coalition, including unifying accounting units, staff and structural reorganisation, ranks, pensions, and martyrs and the disabled.
