Prime Minister Masrour Barzani receives Iraqi Minister of Interior

Erbil, Kurdistan Region, Iraq (GOV.KRD) - Prime Minister Masrour Barzani on Wednesday received Iraqi Minister of Interior Othman al-Ghanmi.

In the meeting, both spoke about relations between the Kurdistan Region and the federal government, emphasising the need to develop security coordination in disputed territories and border areas.

Prime Minister Barzani reiterated commitment to a solution that protects Kurdistan’s constitutional rights and entitlements, and serves the interests of the Iraqi peoples.

Minister al-Ghanmi proposed stronger coordination to tackle the coronavirus pandemic and financial crisis.

He also conveyed Iraqi Prime Minister Mustafa Al-Kadhimi’s readiness to resolve disputes between KRG and the Federal Government.
