Prime Minister Masrour Barzani discusses security coordination with Iraqi defence minister

Erbil, Kurdistan Region, Iraq (GOV.KRD) - Prime Minister Masrour Barzani on Thursday met with Iraqi Minister of Defence to discuss the recent increase of ISIS terror attacks.

In the meeting, Prime Minister Barzani and Defence Minister Juma Inad called ISIS a threat to Iraq and all its peoples. In that regard, both agreed on the need for coordination between Peshmerga forces and the Iraqi Army, in particular through joint security mechanisms in the disputed territories.

The Prime Minister also expressed readiness to resolve outstanding problems with the federal government in a way that serves the interests of all Iraqi peoples, including the Kurdistan Region.
