Prime Minister Masrour Barzani receives Poland’s Ambassador to Iraq

Erbil, Kurdistan Region, Iraq (GOV.KRD) - Prime Minister Masrour Barzani on Tuesday met with Polish Ambassador to Iraq, Marcin Kubiak, to discuss bilateral relations.

In the meeting, the two reviewed the growing cooperation between Poland, Iraq, and the Kurdistan Region and ways of further developing ties in various fields.

Prime Minister Barzani briefed the Ambassador on the government’s progress implementing its ambitious reform agenda, including ongoing efforts to diversify revenue sources and expand infrastructure systems across the Kurdistan Region.

The Prime Minister also discussed the government’s landmark initiative to further develop the Kurdistan Region’s agricultural sector and welcomed Poland’s expertise on the matter of trade and economic reform.

Ambassador Kubiak expressed his country’s readiness to deepen trade relations with the Kurdistan Region and to facilitate greater coordination between the two nations in the fight against the coronavirus pandemic
