Prime Minister Masrour Barzani receives UN Special Representative for Iraq

Erbil, Kurdistan Region, Iraq (GOV.KRD) - Prime Minister Masrour Barzani today met UN Special Representative for Iraq Jeanine Hennis-Plasschaert to discuss regional developments.

During the meeting, the Prime Minister called for a lasting solution to disputes with the federal government in ways that protect Kurdistan Region's constitutional status and interests of the Iraqi peoples.

They also discussed upcoming Iraqi elections, and the need to help internally displaced persons (IDPs) and refugees return to their ancestral homes in safe and dignified ways.
